Cargo pants are even better in pink.

Happy Summer! Pink is unabashedly one of my favorite colors. I’ve been embracing all the shades of pink during these warmer months (and even incorporating pink accents throughout my home). Pink historically has been viewed as a quintessential feminine color. I recall rebelling against wearing the color pink during some point of my childhood and adopting red as my favorite color to avoid stereotypes. I eventually embraced my love for pink again and celebrate the reclamation of pink in recent years in ways that cross gender norms, while reinforcing that femininity and power are not mutually exclusive. Nonetheless, it can be an intimidating color to style from head to toe if you do not usually wear pink, particularly mixing multiple shades of pink. I highly recommend investing in utility/cargo pants. They are stylish and can be worn casually or for a more business casual look. These light pink cargo pants have been my favorite pants since I purchased them earlier this summer. I like the balloon shape of the pant legs, the high waist, and the contrast of a more masculine look like utility pants in a shade of pink. I purchased these pants from Anthropologie and they are no longer available, but I found a similar look here and here.

I paired these cargo pants with a white cropped top (found here) and layered it under a sheer mauve wrap top. I completed the look with one of my favorite summer bags. It is a pink suede YSL camera bag, purchased here. Finally, I opted for nude patent leather pumps. We all need an every day pump and these are versatile enough to wear for daytime and evening looks. Their durability was also worth the investment.
